Lent for Stronger Faith and Atonement
Each year we celebrate Easter but before that is the Lenten Season. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation for Easter, it last for 40 days beginning from Ash Wednesday where we remember religious events such as the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, etc. It is a very important religious event for us Christians where we replicate the sacrifices and withdrawal of Jesus Christ for 6 weeks and reflecting on ourselves by doing good things and fasting. It is a great opportunity to return ourselves to god willingly with our whole heart.
During this 40 day event Lent, people offer their hearts and everything towards Jesus Christ remembering and appreciating him and all the things he have done for us. We remember all the events such as his carrying of the cross burdened by our sins and his crucifixion. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and during this 40 days period, we also celebrate many religious events such as Holy Week and during Holy Week is Maundy Thursday, it is the commemoration of The Last Supper of Jesus Christ and when he established the Holy Communion. Then after Maundy Thursday is Good Friday where we commemorate the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ at the Calvary. It serves as a great chance for us to atone and repent our sins and be closer and deepen our relationship with God by doing good things, praying and connecting to God, and changing ourselves for the better. It is the season of forgiveness and sacrificing where Jesus carried all of our sins and forgave us for being sinners. We strengthen our faith and give everything to him just like how he gave everything to us. It is an event that remind us that God is always with us, he did everything for us and to have more faith in him.
Let’s celebrate Lent happily and faithfully, let’s always welcome Jesus into our hearts and deepen our connection with him. Honor and believe in him not just in the season of Lent but everyday, always have faith and believe him not just on religious occasions but each day, pray and remember him. Lent is a very special religious occasion, let’s become a better person with strong faith in our Creator Jesus Christ and always do good things and avoid bad things. It’s never late for atonement and forgiveness, repent and we will be forgiven, change and we will be blessed. Let’s make the world a better place with faith to our God Jesus Christ and become a better person.
